The Blooming Petals Blanket is a modular, flower-inspired design knit one petal at a time.

Each flower is formed from simple garter stitch petals that come together as you work, creating a soft, textured motif without complicated construction. Once the first flower is complete, the pattern becomes rhythmic and intuitive — a relaxing project you can return to again and again.

This blanket is highly adaptable and works beautifully with:
• scrappy sock yarn
• mini skeins
• fingering to aran weight yarn
• or a more coordinated colour palette

Flowers are joined using a simple whip stitch, guided by the natural chain edge created along each petal, making assembly straightforward and tidy.

An optional I-cord edging provides a smooth, polished finish that follows the curves of the petals.

The blanket shown is knit in worsted-weight yarn.

The pattern includes access to a full video tutorial series to support you through each step — from your first petal to finishing your blanket.

Knit one flower at a time and watch your blanket bloom.
