Inspired by the lush imagery of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series, the design is based on a simple arched, leafy stitch pattern with it’s gracefully sculpted shape worked seamlessly into a lovely layering piece.

The smaller size is easy to tuck into a coat collar, and the slouchy version can be worn many ways including draped simply around the neck, folded over double, pulled up as an impromptu hood or pinned closed, and makes an especially nice gift when presented with a pretty brooch.

The Greyhaven Cowl pattern may be purchased alone or as part of a two-piece set including the Greyhaven Hat. Both the hat and cowl patterns offer charted as well as written instructions.
