Gigi Knitting Bag
Gigi Knitting Bag is a knitted pouch worked in patterned knitting with an all-over heart motif, inspired by classic Fair Isle knitting. The pattern is constructed so that the placement of the colors is essential to the overall expression, and the design changes character when the colors are swapped.
The knitting bag is worked using one strand Önling No 4, 100% fine organic merino wool. 25 g of each of the three colors are used, making it possible to knit two bags from one kit. By working with the colors in different ways, several expressions can be achieved, even though the pattern is the same.
Gigi Knitting Bag is worked in the round in pattern and lined with a fabric drawstring pouch, which functions as lining and the closure. The bag can be used for storing knitting projects and can hold 5–6 balls of yarn, depending on the thickness of the yarn. Gigi Knitting Bag is a manageable project, well suited for colorwork knitting in a smaller format.
Designed by Katrine Hannibal for Önling.
