Ghost Town Cowl
Ghost Town was the inspiration for this pattern. Just as you never know what is around the next corner in a ghost town, this fun and engaging pattern is full of twists and turns to keep you excited about what’s next! The sample is knit in Murky Depths Dyeworks Neptune DK in colorway “Ghost Rider”.
Skills Required
Provisional cast-on, working in the round, knit, purl, German short row, cable knitting, grafting.
Materials
Sample Yarn Used:
2 x 100g/230yds skein, Murky Depths Dyeworks, Neptune DK, 100% Superwash Merino, in the colour Ghost Town.
Yardage: 460yds dk weight yarn
Suggested Needles:
3.75mm/US 5, 60cm/24” length for rib sections OR size(s) needed to obtain gauge.
4mm/US 6, 60cm/24” length for the stockinette and cable sections OR size(s) needed to obtain gauge. Plus, a second circular needle, in the same size or smaller, for doing the grafting.
Notions:
Crochet hook for provisional cast-on, smooth contrast yarn for provisional cast-on, 4 stitch markers, darning needle.
Gauge
24 sts/33 rnds per 4”/10cm, in st st, in the round, using larger needles; the 33 st cable chart is 6”/15cm wide.
Size/Measurements
The cowl is 12”/30.5cm wide (24”/61cm) circumference) x 10.5”/26.75cm long.
