Geese in Flight
Dad, looking up at the fall sky as Canada Geese fly overhead, “Debi, do you see how one side of the “v” formation is longer than the other side?”
Debi: “Yeah.”
Dad: “Do you know why that is?”
Debi: “No, why Dad?”
Dad: “Because there are more geese on that side.”
He was always saying stuff like that. And I always fell for it.
The Geese in Flight Shawlette or Shawl (instructions for two sizes given) with its elegant “V” pattern, reminds us of the formation of geese in flight. The design flows gracefully and easily, just as geese fly effortlessly across autumn skies in their v-shaped formations. The design comprises 5 wedges, making it greater than a half circle, which ensures a secure fit on the shoulders. Choose the CBD 50/50 Merino/Tencel blend I used, or have me custom create the yarn you want for your shawl. Tencel adds stability to the yarn and it adds an irresistible, metallic sheen that makes the design pop. But you can choose cotton, Merino or a blend of either with Tencel. Lots of options!
