Sock knitters everywhere love working with BlueMoon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock yarn. The hardtwist in the wool yields fantastic stitch definition, which is ideal for colorwork. With the delightfully large palette of colors from which to choose, you can knit Argylish with subtle contrast (Use two shades from the same color family. Pictured above is PassiveAggressive Green and What’ Saabi), moderate contrast (Use a very light and a very dark/bright shade from the same color family. Pictured is Orchid Queen and Mermaid Tears), or high contrast (Use a bright color from opposing color families. Pictured is Sun Salutations and Winter Solstice). If you are new to color-work, this is a great first-time pattern. It works up fast, and it has an easy colorwork design. I use the Sweet Tomato Heel for an adjustable and great fit. No heel flaps or gussets! And the colorwork can continue, uninterrupted, through the instep. Because the sock is stranded, it has double the wooly warmth wanted in a handmade sock. Use the colors shown or choose your own from the great variety of colors offered in lightweight Socks That Rock. (Solids work best for showing up a stranded design.) Plus, two skeins will give you enough yarn for two pairs of socks. Knit his & hers socks, or mother&daughter socks. Either way, two pairs of socks equals twice the fun!
