Garden Lovers Cowl
This cowl features leaf and heart motifs knitted using an Entrelac technique. Each block is knitted on to the previous block, to form a rectangle, and then the ends of the rectangle joined using Kitchener stitch. Finally an Icord edging is added to each edge. You may also just join half of the ends together, leaving the cowl open on one edge to better show off the pattern when it is being worn.
An intermediate knitter can knit this pattern. Once you get the first couple of blocks knitted, it’s easier to work out how it’s put together, and goes quite fast.
The pattern uses 220yds / 200m heavy worsted / Aran weight yarn. You may use any yarn that gives the correct gauge.
