Knitted in the round, this is an experienced level pattern because of the cables worked along with the stranded colorwork, and this pattern assumes that you already know how to knit stranded colorwork.

There are 2 ways to knit this pattern:
1) Work it in 2 colors as a stranded colorwork pattern with cables to define the leaves.
2) Work it in 3 colors, with separate lengths of yarn in the third color for each leaf worked intarsia style. Note that this method is very painstaking and there will be a lot of yarn ends to sew in.

Instructions are given for head sizes 21” (53 cm), 22” (56 cm) and 23” (58 cm)
These correspond to small, medium, and large adult sizes.

Fingering weight yarn.
MC: (background color)
CC1: (leaf color) Note: CC in the instructions refers to either CC1 or CC2, your choice.
CC2: (flower color) CC2 is optional. You can use CC1 in its place.

Yarn amounts are just a rough guide as amounts used depend on which sections are done with which colors.
