The ribbing is quite stretchy. My palm has a circumference of 19 cm / 7.48 in, and I wear size Small comfortably.

Yarn
4 ply to sport weight yarn to meet gauge
Choose a yarn with a high wool content that holds its shape well, because it makes the cables stand out nicely.
The sample mittens are worked in size Small.
The pattern includes estimated yardage for each size.

Gauge and needles
27 sts × 37 rounds = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in) worked in k3, p1 in the round, after washing, measured unstretched. The ribbing is quite stretchy.

Recommended needle size is 3 mm (US 2 1/2) or size to obtain gauge.

The pattern uses written instructions combined with a chart. You have to be able to read charts in order to use this pattern.
