This pattern is written for intermediate to experienced knitters. You will need to know kitchener stitch or 3-needle bind-off, knitted cast-on, picking up stitches and circular knitting. It requires a set of dp needles and 2 circular needles.

There are very few seams - just the legs and eyes are sewn on - everything else is knitted on.

The finished creature is about 18” long if knitted with DK weight yarn. I used 65g Wool of the Andes for the body and 15g Noro Kureyon sock yarn for the frill. Also a smidge of colors appropriate for the mouth and eyes. It is best to use a finer yarn for the frill or it will be fairly bulky. You may use any yarn but it’s best if it contains at least 50% wool so that it will hold its shape well. It’s also best to find a yarn with a bright colorway for the frill.

You will also need chenille sticks and polyester fiberfill.
