Foxglove
This charming pattern has a design of cables and texture evoking the bells that gracefully adorn old fashioned foxglove flowers. I chose a lovely fingering weight yarn by Peekaboo Knits in a color called Hibiscus. This is a shawl unlike any other shawl pattern I have seen.
Because of the intricate pattern, this shawl looks best in a lighter color, preferably solid(ish). This is a great wrap for anyone looking forward to Spring (or for those in warmer weather, like me, to celebrate the flowers we love!)
There is a large, easy-to-read chart and also, if you don’t like using charts, there are written directions for the chart. Complete directions are included for the easy wraps and turns, and for working together the wraps with the wrapped stitches. Don’t let this scare you. It’s not hard.
You will also need to know or learn how to k, p, yo, ssk, k2tog, s2kpo, c4f and c4b. Directions for all of the increases and decreases are included.
