Flamborough Gansey
by Rae Compton
This all-over patterned gansey is knitted in the traditional way, in one piece on double-pointed needles, so there’s no sewing together to be done at the end. It’s based on an old gansey that belonged to Mr George Mainprize (born 1875), and features a Moss stitch diamond pattern, and a Ladder stitch.
Pattern instructions for the child’s version are given separately.
