This pattern includes an any-size/any-gauge version, so you can make a case perfectly fitted to anything you want (I imagine this design working great for a laptop). Because of the way it’s constructed (with a sideways edge cast-on), every part can be measured as you work, so there’s no need for gauge-swatching or any calculations to figure out sizing.

The case was originally designed for a deck of cards, with the outside pocket to hold other portable game stuff, like a pencil and paper, dice, etc.

The original version was meant for the 15 yard mini-skein which club members received in theirs kits, and it’s a bit small and snug for the deck of cards, so there is also a plain card sleeve version of the pattern included.
