This seamless pullover is a lacey version of my Tia Teva design, and uses the same pretty lace pattern I developed for my Water Hyacinth shawl. The short-row lace inserts shape the neckline and dip the hemline.

Construction: First Date is knitted inside out, in one piece seamlessly from the top down. Short-rows shape yoke. Small provisional cast-ons are worked at the underarms.

Pattern Info:

Sweater chest measurements: 30 (33, 35, 38, 41, 44) (47, 49, 52, 55, 58)“. 0-3” ease recommended. Shown in gray in size 38, worn with 2” ease, and in light blue in size 35 worn with -1” ease (a little snug).

Yarn: Sunday Knits 3 ply (light sport-weight) yarns including Nirvana (merino cashmere), Eden (merino), Angelic (merino angora) or Brigadoon (merino tweed);
246 yds (225 m) per 50 gm skein: 5 (6, 6, 6, 7, 7)(8, 8, 9, 10, 11) skeins.

Substitute any light sport-weight yarn that works nicely to gauge: 1160 (1270, 1360, 1450, 1560, 1650) (1780, 1920, 2050, 2200, 2300) yds.

Gauge: 23 sts and 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch using size 5 (3.75 mm) needles.

Needles: US 5 (3.75 mm) for gauge swatch, and sizes 3 (3.25mm) and 4 (3.5 mm) circular and/or double-pointed needles.

Notions: Cable needle, stitch mark- ers, crochet hook for provisional cast-on, stitch holder or waste yarn.

Techniques: Reading charts, lace worked both flat and in the round.
