Ferris Wheel Mandala
There’s something incredibly relaxing & meditative about making mandalas & I love to have them on my walls. I find them so relaxing! I would love everyone to be able to enjoy them, so these patterns are easy to follow & accessible to adventurous beginners, but still interesting for more experienced crocheters.
The pattern has been tech edited & thoroughly tested by a large group of fabulous testers to ensure accuracy & clarity. There are handy tips & video links to help with any potentially tricky parts.
Skill level: Adventurous beginner / intermediate.
Materials required:
Yarn: 131 yards / 120 metres of #3 weight, dk, light worsted yarn. I recommend 100% cotton yarn as it gives great stitch definition, but any yarn composition can work for this project.
Hooks: 4mm (G-6) crochet hook or hook needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: 30cm / 12” thin hoop, tape measure, tapestry needle & scissors.
Finished measurements:
Your finished mandala before attaching to hoop will be between 25cm / 10” and 28cm / 11” in diameter.
Construction:
In the round on the right side throughout, with the final round crocheted directly around the hoop to finish.
Gauge:
Rounds 1 to 5 should measure 4.5” / 11.5cm in diameter.
A huge thank you to my wonderful group of volunteer testers!
