Fereday, the name is of Celtic origin and means traveling merchant.
This shawl has more of a structured feeling with its muted color scheme, the deeply embossed pattern in the cable section and the triangular stitch pattern. It has an elegant feel to it and when knitted in the yarn as shown, it gives you some great styling options as the fabric doesn’t collapse, which sort of makes the “collar” stand up.

Size blocked: Length 55” and height 15”.

Yarn: Rondo, a light worsted weight yarn holding 132 yards, 50 g per skein.
C1-Jet 152 yards used (2 skeins)
C2-Bay 508 yards used (4 skeins)

Gauge: 18 sts and 27 rows in 4” (10 cm) of Stockinette stitch, blocked
