Experioche
Experioche started out as an experiment - I wanted to make something with two colors, braided, and ended up choosing brioche as the best stitch for that purpose. It requires little work to make a pretty and squishy fabric, and it looks great from all sides.
The cowl is worked flat in two pieces, then braided and seamed together. No previous experience with brioche is necessary, as everything is explained in the pattern.
Included are an illustrated tutorial on how to braid the pieces together.

YARN:
Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash® (100% Wool), 201 meters / 220 yards per 100g, 2 skeins.
Colorways used:
MC: 1910 Summer Sky Heather (1 skein)
CC: 8010 Natural (1 skein)
NEEDLES: 4 mm / US 6 circulars or straight needles
GAUGE: Not crucial (but gauge might affect required yardage and final size)
Sample uses gauge of 18 sts & 36 rows to 10 cm / 4 inches in brioche stitch, unstretched.
SIZE: width 21 cm / 8.5 inches (unstretched), circumference approximately 116 cm / 45.5 inches. Braided section approximately 12 cm / 4.75 inches in width.
