Expecto Draconum = I await a dragon!

I have been eagerly awaiting a dragon since Sock Madness 10, and I know I’m not the only one. This year, I decided to take matters into my own hands. The title of this pattern will no doubt bring “Expecto Patronum” to mind for Harry Potter fans, and who wouldn’t want a dragon as their patronus?

This pattern is cuff down with a heel flap and gusset. The cuff, heel flap, and toe are worked with one color only, and the remainder of the socks are knit with two colors in stranded colorwork. I highly recommend using ladderback jacquard (LBJ) to anchor the long floats in the dragon pattern, but any method of catching floats will work fine. The pattern is charted.
