Dionisio Point is named for a park at the north end of Galiano Island, off the west coast of Canada, where I used to live. After Christmas, my uncle, aunt, and I would sometimes hike out there to stand on the rocks, the trees behind us and the wind in our faces. We’d sip something warming from a thermos and look out at the ocean, watching the seals and the waves and the endless winter sky.

Designed for Windham Mini-skeins, this soft, cozy cowl lets you play with colour in a fairly quick project that will keep you warm on those windy days. Dionisio Point is worked in the round in stranded colourwork from top to bottom, starting and ending with corrugated ribbing. Subtle shaping allows the cowl to sit nicely on the shoulders.
