Rich in color, diamonds, facets and personality, this stunning shawl is as easy to make as it is to wear. Intermediate level at best, with all the wrong side rows purled, this is not a difficult shawl to make. With a diamond lace chain down the center back and diamonds and points all along the edging of this shawl, you may be the richest person in the room wearing this sophisticated shawl!

This shawl is knit top down with increases on both sides to create its crescent shape. When the body is finished, the stitches for Diamante Crescent’s lace edging are cast on using a knitted CO. The border is knit back and forth joining the last stitch of every RS row together with a stitch from the main body.

Dimensions: 17.5 inches down the center back and 38 inches from the bottom of the center back to the tips. Measuring across the top when laid flat it measures 60 inches wide.

Yardage: Approximately 735 yds; I used about 1.5 skeins of MJ Yarns Opulent Fingering and a little over 150 grams. If you are a loose knitter you will need to account for it in your yardage. I have added generous yardage estimates for loose knitters.

This shawl can be made as big or small as you want it to be!
