“This shawl is inspired by the Rosa Persica – a rose that has thorny, rambling branches and is difficult to grow in gardens. Therefore, in this design, the rose only appears in every other gap between the branches/leaves.
The shawl is knit from the bottom up. The lace section is worked first into a rectangle; the crescent shaping is achieved by working short rows from the middle of the shawl towards the edges.”

Note: There is patterning on both sides in parts of the lace section.
