The Darin cowl is a dreamy swish of softness and color. A simple knit with lots of comfort.

Start with an I-cord cast on in a single color and when knitted loosely, gives a lovely detail around the neckline once joined in the round. The body of the cowl is knitted with simple increases in a self striping soft yarn to grow to the final bottom edge, where you use this time the same color as for the cast on, only in a double strand. It’s cozy and perfect for the season.

The measurements are: 23“ in neckline circumference, 15“ in height and 52“ in bottom circumference. The pattern is fully written.

Yarn used
C1 - 10 yards in a DK weight in a single color.
C2 - 1 Wheely cake, a self striping aran weight. 164 yards.
C3 - 15 yards in an aran weight in a single color, or C1 held double.

Notions needed
US size 13 (8 mm) circular needle.
One stitch marker to mark beginning of each round.
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge
10 sts and 13 rows in 4“ of stockinette stitch in C2 yarn.

Techniques applied
I-cord cast on, knitting, knitting in front and back of same stitch, increasing, color changes, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends.
