Dancing Leaves Cowl
This cowl is a companion piece to the Dancing Leaves Hat and Mitts using cables and lace. It’s a fairly quick knit that takes approximately 180 to 220 yards of a light worsted yarn.
As pictured this design used Jilly and Kiddles softly scrumptious Aurora Yarn in Phoenix Tail, and is perfect for those cold winter days.
It’s a lacy neck warmer style cowl that hugs the neck, without constricting, and provides just that little extra warmth over your back and shoulders. The back and sides are done using a simple lace ribbing, and the front panel has a pretty motif of cable and lace leaves.
The fit is one size fits most, but it can be made larger or smaller in circumference by either changing your needle size up or down, or adding or deleting some of the ribbing (in 4 stitch increments) along the back. You can also make the cowl longer at the bottom by adding a few more rows of the lace pattern at the beginning, to give you a longer drape over the neck and shoulders.
There is a chart for the motif section, and the lace ribbing. Directions for charted sections are also fully written out.
