Pattern is written in standard US crochet terms and includes three sizes:

One size fits most toddlers, one size fits most children, and one size fits most adults.

Necessary crochet skills: This is an “intermediate” level pattern. You should be comfortable working in the round and using stitches such as the foundation single crochet, sc, bpsc, dc, ch and have some basic sewing skills. Also please note that some crocheters find the recommended type of yarn difficult to work with, but as you can see from the pictures, the results are worth the extra effort!
