Cottenham Park
This shawl is named after the park near my house. There is a group of trees that line the main path, and they stand straight and tall as they have done for centuries. The lines of slipped stitches in this shawl remind me of those trees standing side by side.

Materials
SUGGESTED YARN
Third Vault Yarns Companion 4ply; 100% Merino Wool; 437 yds 400 m / 3.53 oz 100 g - Sea Stones kit, containing 1 skein of Smithsonite & Sandstone (MC) and 20 g each of Teal (CC1), Purple (CC2), Pink (CC3), and Bronze (CC4).
The pattern is written for any combination of 2 or more yarns. The size can be adjusted to accommodate.
NEEDLES
US #6/4 mm long circular (at least 32”/80 cm)—or size needed to obtain gauge as listed.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, 1 stitch marker, cable needle, another needle 2 or 3 sizes larger than that used for knitting the shawl to use for BO (optional).
Gauge
26 stitches and 52 rows = 4”/10 cm in slipped stitch pattern, blocked. Gauge is not crucial to this pattern, though keep in mind that it will affect yardage and finished size.
