Conker Mitts
These lovely fingerless mitts were made with autumn in mind and feature a pretty fan stitch which carries on to the thumb.
I used 40g of fingering weight/4ply yarn for the mitts so they are a perfect gift hook for using up sock yarn stash - although note that due to the nature of the stitch pattern, they tend to look better in a solid or tonal colour.
The mitts fit an average sized adult female hand but sizing can be altered by using different hook sizes (guidance is given for this in the pattern).
I rate the conker mitts as intermediate as there is quite a lot going on within the pattern and some bits, like the chainless foundation and the thumb section, might be a bit tricky for a new crocheter.
The pattern has been tech edited and test hooked so it should be without error but please let me know if you have any problems.
