Marseille Beret
This pattern is
available for free.
I designed this beret whilst sitting watching France play England in the Six Nations Rugby Championship, hence the name (I love the French National Anthem, La Marseillaise).
It’s a very simple granny stitch design with easy increases and decreases and a wide brim to give it that beret shaping.
The first sample was made using two colours of Rowan Softyak DK (Heath and Terrain) and doesn’t feature a pom pom.
The second sample was made using one colour of Stylecraft Special DK (Mushroom) and includes a matching pom pom.
The decision to pom pom is entirely up to you!
