Cointreau
My favorite kind of accessory - one skein, and addictive repeat, and minimal finishing. It’s portable, easier than it looks, and super satisfying.
A flowy, undulating cable motif with dropped stitches adds dramatic drape, light, and texture to this versatile cowl. It can be worn folded over for a polished and more contained look, or left open to fall at will for a more fluid accent piece. The stitch pattern looks hard, but is easy to work and yields a complex and sophisticated cable that really complements a gorgeous handdyed yarn such as this one.
Dani of Sunshine Yarns has hit the perfect orange with this Heirloom Tomato colorway, and her sport weight merino makes a soft and cozy cowl.
The pattern is easy to modify for either length or width, and directions are included to make a longer or wider cowl if desired.
If substituting yarn, note that the softer your fiber, the more the dropped stitches in cables will open up when cowl is worn. With a subtly vareigated yarn such as this, the texture shows off the slight color shifts beautifully.
You can see some great FOs already on Ravelry!
