Black Cherry Lambic contains patterns for three different projects - a wrap, scarf, or cowl - using variations on the same stitch pattern and cable borders. I’ve made both the cowl and the scarf here.

Pick the one that suits your wardrobe needs and your yarn quantity!

This lovely stitch pattern was truly addictive - it has a combination of texture and lace that really stands out in a subtle hand dyed yarn. The geometric cable edging adds a little contrast to the flowy nature of the fabric and balances the edges out for interest.

Cables are charted - and the lace is easier than you think!

Cowl:
400(500,600yds/365(500,550)m of worsted weight yarn

35(39,41)“/90(99,104)cm long x 10”/25.5cm wide.

Scarf
600 yds/550m of worsted weight yarn

56”/142.25cm long x 12.5”/31.75cm wide

Wrap
900yds/825m of worsted weight yarn

60”/15.25cm long x 18.5”/47cm wide
(not shown)

If substituting yarn, choose a worsted weight yarn that will show off the pattern, and is soft enough to wear next to your skin. Swatch to be sure you understand the stitch motif as well as to be sure about gauge and stitch definition.
