About Coffee and a Good Book
This pattern is a deviation from my usual colorful work – mostly because I wanted a sweater that offered the feeling of coziness, and of quiet time for relaxing and reflecting. I really wanted to create a sweater that feels like a beautiful, glorious, squishy hug for those precious few mornings when you reset and recharge by curling up on your favorite couch or in your favorite chair, in your comfy clothes, with a good book and a cup of coffee, or tea, or something delicious that warms your heart.
To all of my fellow yarn lovers, I wish you everything good. I hope you enjoy this project and that you find yourself reaching for this sweater any time you want to feel happy and relaxed.

Yarn: 900 (1050, 1200, 1350, 1500, 1650, 1800) yds worsted weight yarn
The sample was made with the following:
6 balls Berocco Ultra Wool (100% Superwash Wool; 3½ oz/100 gr; 219 yds/200 m) in color #33118 Marjoram
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles 16”, 24”, and 32” long, and needles in preferred style for small circumference knitting in the round, OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN THE CORRECT GAUGE.
Notions: Stitch markers, cable needle, waste yarn for use as stitch holder, tapestry needle
GAUGE
20 sts and 26 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch, after blocking. Save time by taking time to check gauge.

Bust: 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56)” / 81.5 (91.5, 101.5, 112, 122, 132, 142) cm
Length: 25½ (26½, 27½, 27¾, 28½, 28¾, 29½)” / 64.5 (67.5, 70, 70.5, 72.5, 73, 74.5) cm
Sample shown is size 40”/101.5 cm
NOTE
This sweater is knit seamlessly from the top down.
ABBREVIATIONS & TERMS
2/2LC 2 over 2 Left Cable: Slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k2, k2 from cable needle
2/2LPC 2 over 2 Left Purl Cable: Slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front, p2, k2 from cable needle
2/2RPC 2 over 2 Right Purl Cable: Slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in back, k2, p2 from cable needle
3/3LC 3 over 3 Left Cable: Slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k3, k3 from cable needle

k2tog: knit two together (right-slanting decrease)
LLI: Left Lifted Increase: Insert the tip of left needle from behind into stitch 2 rows below last stitch on right needle and knit into the back of this stitch.
LT: Left Twist: Knit 2nd stitch on left needle through back loop and leave on needle, knit first st on left needle, and slip both stitches from needle.
M1L: Make 1 Left: Insert left needle, from front to back, under strand of yarn which runs between next stitch on left needle and last stitch on right needle; knit this stitch through back loop. 1 stitch increased.
M1R: Make 1 Right: Insert left needle, from back to front, under strand of yarn which runs between next stitch on left needle and last stitch on right needle; knit this stitch through front loop. 1 stitch increased.
