A video demonstrating the increases and decreases used in the cabled band can be found here. A photo tutorial showing a suitable provisional CO can be found here.
A close fitting hat with cables inspired by ancient Pictish and Celtic artwork.
The cabled band is worked first, flat, then grafted together. The crown stitches are then picked up around the edge of the band and worked in the round.
This hat is very similar in design and construction to another pattern of mine, Tallorcen, however both the gauge and the cable design are slightly different.
