The Cathedral Cowl was inspired by a beautiful doorway framed by a set of towering arches at York Cathedral. The arches were a contrast of bold, smooth lines with intricate stone carvings between them. This cowl uses bold diagonal lines with smooth stockinette, and the textured garter stitch and the addition of the simple lace and beads add the finer details to the accessory.

Knitted in the round for a seamless finish and with double knit yarn means that the cowl knits up quickly, making this a quick cozy and elegant knit.

Video tutorials are linked for all of the stitches used, including how to add the beads with a crochet hook.
