Case Study is a sharp little notions case, with just enough intarsia to be interesting. It features easy construction and an optional zipped lining.

Unlined, Case Study is the right size for a sleeve for your tablet or composition book. Lined with sturdy cotton and zipped up, it’s a notions case that perfectly matches your sweater.

This project will also prepare you to knit Study Group, a seamed intarsia raglan pullover. Key techniques practiced are the tubular cast on, intarsia knitting, and seaming. By using the same yarn, you can also use this project as your swatch.

If you are interested in using this pattern for a class, please send me an email at Hello@JPKnitsThings.com and I will send over a teacher’s guide with class plan and key teaching points.

CONSTRUCTION

Case Study is worked flat in two pieces and then seamed. You’ll cast on and work down from the ribbing to the bottom. An optional zipper and lining transform it from a sleeve to a zipped case.
