Body of Work - an exploration of our relationship to ourselves, our work, our bodies, and the messy overlapping area where all the pieces coexist.
The Body of Work collection is four garment patterns and two swatch projects from One Wild Designs - Jen Parroccini and Elizabeth Margaret.
The collection also includes a magazine, also titled Body of Work, which is available directly from One Wild Designs.
Inside the Body of Work magazine we’ve featured the writing and design work of Karel Chan from KC Knitting Co - you’ll find the link to her Kenneth here too.
Please note - Kenneth is not included in any of the One Wild Designs promotions, it’s included here so that you can find it more easily.
We’re One Wild - and these are our patterns!
Wearable Color
Knitting with bold color can feel, inexplicably, risky. How often will I really wear this? What will I wear it with? Will I get sick of it?
Out Loud is an invitation to play, experiment, and take up space. This season, we’re getting those skeins off the shelf and onto your body.
Trends, but for knitters
Out Loud pulls from fashion and color trends we’re seeing now, but it also pulls from the knitting world, where things move at a more reasonable pace. The looks, projects and suggestions in this collection are designed around real knitters’ aesthetics and you’ll find tips for keeping bright colors wearable.
Slow-ish Living
This is intended to be a practical guide. If we wait for an aspirational wardrobe to wear our knits, they won’t get worn.
I don’t have endless time or the physical ability to make all my own clothes, so you’ll see pieces here that are a mix of handmade, small business, and ready-to-wear. Out Loud demonstrates that your knits belong in any setting, in any season, and on YOUR body.
I hope that as we move into spring and summer, you’re able to cast on some projects that you’ll wear regularly, love deeply, and feel like the freshest, juiciest version of yourself in.
XOX,
Jen
