Cairnkinna tam and beanie
THESE TWO hat patterns have been designed by Mary Henderson to enable knitters to use up scraps of 4ply-weight yarn from their stash - Mary’s own samples have been knitted in her favourite yarn, Jamieson & Smith’s 2ply Jumper Weight. Both the fitted beanie and the looser, beret-style tam use the same Fair Isle pattern, but the beanie is worked in four shades while the tam design uses five colours.
