This delicate dk weight lace scarf features a reversible lace pattern based on stocking stitch, rather than garter stitch. This makes this scarf reversible, something uncommon in lace scarves.

While the scarf is not exactly indentical on both sides, the mix of stocking and reverse stocking stitch mirror each other nicely enough so that there is no wrong side to this scarf.

This scarf is named for the place my husband proposed, just over 12 years ago in a crater of a volcano, Mt Buninyong. The yarn used to knit the first prototype was yarn he gifted to me for our seventh wedding anniversary; traditionally supposed to be a woollen gift. ♥♥♥

While the scarf uses basic increasing and decreasing to create the lace pattern, it does require concentration and knit and purl stitches are worked on both sides.
