Bullseye is an adorable and squishy crocheted blanket, based a classic quilt pattern featuring “half square triangles” (HST). Even beginners will be able to make this blanket, as you not only get the pattern, but also a collection of video tutorials that will take you through the whole process.

The HST is the most common basic block used in quilt designs. Not only is the Bullseye Blanket made up entirely of HSTs, but thousands of additional unique blanket patterns can be created just by rearranging the squares. HST squares are easy and fun to make, and great stash busters too!

I recommend worsted weight yarn and a 4 mm hook, but you could easily make this blanket with a different weight and corresponding hook. To make a larger blanket use the following information to calculate your yarn needs. Keep in mind that if your gauge is larger than mine, you will need more yarn.

At my gauge, each granny measured 4” after blocking, and used 4.4 grams of yarn. With one skein each of a MC and CC, I was able to get approximately 45 HST.

The sample blanket has 144 granny squares. Including the border, I needed 4 skeins of MC (white), and 2 skeins in each CC.
