Bubble Socks
This fun texture pattern looks great worked up
in all types of color patterns. The stitch
pattern is similar to the one used on Irish Step
Dancer’s traditional Bubble Socks.
This sock pattern is fully written out without charts. The stitch pattern is an easy to memorize repeat.
Size: Size S, M and L to fit 7”, 8”, 9” foot
circumferences. The bubble pattern is very
compact in row gauge and uses a lot of yarn.
Longer feet in size L may require additional
yarn.
Yarn:
Yarn: Fiddle Knits Polka Sock (80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon) 400 yds/100gm, 1 skein. (Additional yarn may be required for longer feet in larger sizes.)
Needles: Size 1 (2.5mm) DPNs or circular needle for magic loop or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge:
32 stitches and 44 rows = 4”/1 0cm in Stockinette stitch.
30 stitches and 75 rows = 4”/1 0cm in Bubble stitch.
