The Mosaic Mystery Blanket (MMB) pattern is a playful and fun design, specifically designed for the MMB 2022 Knit-Along.
Make a colourful baby blanket, two-colour throw or monochrome bedspread, choice is yours!

The blanket is worked in one piece in mosaic garter stitch. The mosaic pattern is charted and written out.
The sample was made in Aran weight acrylic yarn, with solid colour background and variegated patterning. Different yarn weights and fibres can be used. Using different fibres affects the size of the blanket and the amount of yarn needed.
The blanket can be made in two or more colours.

Size L (Bedspread) 235 x 235 cm / 92.5 x 92.5”

Aran / 10 ply
100 g / 3.53 oz = 192 m / 210 yards

Total consumption, approximately half in MC, half in CC:
Size S 550 g / 19.4 oz = 1056 m / 1155 yards
Size M 1850 g /65.3 oz = 3552 m / 3885 yards
Size L 3750 g / 132.4 oz = 7200 m / 7874 yards

Gauge
16 stitches x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in mosaic pattern after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial but will affect finished dimensions and yarn requirements.
