A simple hat optionally made less simple by dyeing the yarn first! The hat is designed with style flexibility in mind - wear it brim-down for an oversized, slouchy style, or brim-up for a completely different, more classic look. This hat is all about personalization - make it how you want it, and keep your head warm in your own style! Includes pom pom tutorial for optional topper!

This pattern was designed for Twisted’s Single Skein Club, and was given to members in April along with a skein of natural colored, bulky wool yarn, 5 packets of Kool-Aid, and dyeing instructions!

The pattern pdf includes a photo tutorial for the optional pom pom toppers, and links to the yarn dyeing tutorials…

Obviously, I also love love love color, but I understand that different people have different tastes, when it comes to both color and style. So, I’ve designed this hat with hand-dyed yarn in mind, but of course it’s completely up to you how to dye your yarn - solid, striped, or variegated - and whether you even dye it at all.
