These socks are worked in the round from the cuff down to the toe. The lace pattern is worked on the outside of the leg, so follow directions for left and right socks as indicated to set the pattern correctly. The heel is shaped by working a heel flap and gusset. The heel flat is reinforced using a slip-stitch pattern and is worked over half of total stitches.
