Construction
The Petra brassiere is worked in flat knitting. The sleeves and the body are knitted separately, then sewn together. You will start by working the back, starting at the very bottom, the you will cast off stitches to shape the back neckline. Your work will then be separated in two parts: the left side, and the right side, which will be worked one after the other, symmetrically, with increases to form the neckline. Once the body is finished, you will knit each sleeve and assemble the pieces in the end. The brassiere is closed with little cords placed on the front and the sides.

Shape and sizes
Sizes Newborn – 3 to 6 – 6 to 12 – 12 to 18 – 18 to 24 – 24 to 36 months are suited for an approximate bust circumference of 38 to 41 – 40 to 43 – 43 to 45 – 45 to 48 – 48 to 51 – 51 to 53 cm. These sizes are standards, they may vary from a child to another, each size may suit different ages depending on ones morphology. If you are hesitating between to sizes, I would recommend choosing the bigger one: you can adjust the width thanks to the cords, and you can always fold the sleeves if those are too long at first.
