About the pattern and bag
Bouclébag is a simple, timeless small bag. It is worked in one thread of fine wool for longevity and stability, and on thread of bouclé alpaca to add the texture giving the bag a little extra. It is worked on small needles to achieve a dense fabric, creating a wearable, functional handbag.

Firstly, a rectangle is worked for the base, from which stitches are picked up along the sides and worked in the round. Then the stitches are divided into sections for the flap and strap attachments, or cast off. The flap is worked flat in stocking stitch as well as the strap attachments. An extra strap section can be worked which is a piece of stocking stitch worked in the round. To finish, the pieces are turned inside-out and all the materials are pieced together.
