Bodacious!
As an ‘80s baby, I have a love of that decade that just can’t be matched, so when Lorna’s Laces dyed up a Limited Edition color called “Brat Pack” to celebrate the teen-movie-idols of the ‘80s, I grabbed up a skein and out of it came this beret! It may not be that “raspberry beret” Prince was singing about, but I think it’s something Molly Ringwald might have worn, don’t you? It’s part of the Brat Pack Collection - check out all the patterns in the set!
The Lorna’s LLE Color “Brat Pack” is only available at Jimmy Beans Wool, and once it’s gone, it’s gone! This hat was designed in Sportmate, but would also work in Shepherd Sport as well - just be aware that Shepherd Sport has fewer yards in a hank and a slightly different texture, so be sure to swatch for gauge! This hat would look great in any solid, multi-color, or variegated yarn - I specifically designed it to minimize the pooling/striping that occurs with hand-dyed yarns; all pooling is restricted to the top of the hat, where it has quite an artistic effect!
Wear this creation as a traditional beret or a slouchy hat - the choice is up to you!
