Bernie
If you can knit with one color per row, then you can make Bernie!** An easy to knit beanie, knit from the bottom up/ in the round, and using only about 110yds/55g yarn in total, Bernie sports a ‘Houndstooth’ slip-stitch pattern using only one color at at time! No stranding skills necessary!
Would be a great man-hat too either with the crown as is or just with plain decreases for a less ‘ornate’ finish.
Sizing for S (M,L), gauge 20st + 24 rows/4”(10cm) on size 7 (4.5mm) needles in Houndstooth pattern.
This pattern is named in honor my dear Mum’s school-years nickname, and the ‘Houndstooth’ is reminiscent of the patterning popular in her day!
PS. makes a stylish chemo- cap!
