Bergeron Cowl
The Bergeron cowl has a woven appearance, although it is crocheted with a Tunisian crochet stitch.
Warning:It is a very addictive stitch, and a pure joy to create. With a big Tunisian crochet hook this piece is a quick project.
This cowl is of a generous size, and can be worn as a hood, across the shoulders or as a fabulous neck piece. Written instructions for three sizes, though you can easily make size adjustments to make it as long as you like. No seaming!
Sizes S/M, L/XL and XXL/XXXL.
Circumference: 47/ 54/ 61” and 11.5/ 11.5/ 13.5” in height.
Video link included for the Tunisian crochet stitch. Super Easy!!
Yarn:
Bulk by yarnz2GO.com, 4/ 5/ 6 yarn cakes, 55 yards each. For your convenience Bulk is already wound for you with…
1) Two strands of Pizzazz, a kid merino soft and fuzzy.
2) Two strands of the more structured Linen yarn.
3) One strand of a Dralon yarn with a smooth feel, an antibacterial yarn.
Alternative #1: Multiple strands of similar yarns held together, approximately 220/ 265/ 310 yards.
Alternative #2: Any bulky yarn, 220 / 275 / 320 yards.
I also played with a silk and a merino ribbon for a different texture and an elegant yet rugged style.
Notions:
