Beckett poncho
Get ready to fall in love with this project. It feels so super cozy and comfortable that I made two of these perfect cover ups. Your poncho can also be styled a few ways for different looks.
Details such as the decreasing seams in the top ribbing resting on either side of the shoulders and a simple staggered lace pattern that adds great textures. Worked from the bottom up and in the round with yarns carried in the back for minimal finishing.
Level of Expertise: Advanced Beginner/Easy
Knit kits are available at yarnz2GO in which the pattern is free~
The yarn: Darlon, a sport weight yarn is suitable also for vegans (309 yards per skein) in two contrasting colors (one skein each for size S, two skeins of color 1 for all other sizes, one of color 2 for sizes S and M, two for sizes L-XXXL).
The samples shown here are in size 36/38 in C1 Heirloom Blue used 305 and C2 Mushroom used 260 yards. The second version is knitted in two contrasting grey tones.
Alternatively use a sport weight yarn, C1 297/327/358/390/420/437 yards, C2 260/288/315/342/370/384 yards.
Notions:
US size 8 (5 mm) circular needle 32” (80 cm) in length (you might need a shorter needle 16” (46 cm) for the top ribbing section)
2 stitch markers, preferably of different colors to mark left and right shoulders
The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
Enjoy Beckett!
The Beckett poncho is paired with the Under cover hat in the e-book called Awesome Twosome at a discounted price
