Barney is a huggable knitted brown barn owl. This is an easier knitting pattern, ideal for beginner knitters or if you are new to making toys. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the owl is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 5)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and domed buttons for eyes.

SIZES
One size only - 14cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
