Yardage is an estimate. The pattern calls for “about three ounces,” which is equivalent to about 85 grams.

Pattern Description from The Sweater Workshop: “Here is a cozy cap and neck-warmer all rolled into one handy head covering to hang by the back door and grab on the way to the barn to bottle-feed little lambies at -40 degrees windchill. It’s also good for walking the dog at midnight.

Yarn: About 3 ounces medium (worsted) weight.

Needles: #4 or #5 24-inch circular (or 2 straights), and one set of #4 or #5 double-pointed. (For an infant’s version, use “baby yarn” and finer needles.)

This pattern may be found on pages 224-226 of The Sweater Workshop.
