Bare Hill is a 865 foot tall hill at the south end of Canandaigua Lake in western New York state. Each year, on the Saturday before Labor day, a bonfire is lit at its top to commemorate the Seneca ceremony of peace and abundant harvest. Below, on the lakeshore, residents light flares around the 32-mile shore in the traditional “Ring of Fire”.

Bare Hill Mittens are textured hand coverings designed to coordinate with Bare Hill Cowl and Bare Hill Hat. Aran weight yarns worked with US size 9 (5.5 mm) needles make the knitting quick. Worked in Garter Rib with a classic Norwegian Thumb, they should fit most hands and are easily adjustable for larger or smaller sizes.
